Alton presented his research on measuring atmospheric gusts at low altitudes. The research was a summary of his MASc research and he is, with the exception of minor revisions to his thesis, done with his degree – congratulations!
This summer we had again two high school students working in our lab as part of the Research Opportunity Program in Engineering (ROPE). Emily and Susan experimented with solar cells and developed methodologies of how to integrate these cells in our solar glider. We greatly appreciate their contribution to our newest project. Furthermore, we also want to acknowledge Peter Bradley for his help and support with the ROPE project.

This summer we had two high school students, Alex and Yujin working alongside in our lab as part of the Research Opportunity Program in Engineering (ROPE) at Ryerson University. Alex and Yujin helped with our wind-tunnel tests, with GustAV, and developed their own propeller design. Overall it was great having them part of our team and we look forward to their possible returns as Ryerson students.
